CINOP to Distribute Ordinate Tests in the Netherlands
|
MENLO PARK, Calif. - Ordinate Corporation, a language assessment provider, and CINOP (Centrum voor Innovatie van Opleidingen),
the Dutch Institute for Innovation of Education and Training, have signed an exclusive agreement for the distribution of Ordinate's SET
(Spoken English Test) tests in the Netherlands.
The companies are also currently working together on the development of a Dutch language test and a culture test,
details of which will be announced later in 2004.
Ordinate's SET tests are fully-automated assessments of English speaking and listening skills.
SET tests are administered by telephone and scored by Ordinate speech recognition technology.
To take a SET test, a test taker dials a telephone number, enters an identification number, and interacts with Ordinate's testing system
for approximately ten minutes. After the test taker hangs up the phone, scores are available typically within minutes from any Web browser.

Ordinate as a national standard for English proficiency testing in the Netherlands.”
